Apparently even search engine spiders get ADHD

By Jerry • Apr 1st, 2008 • Category: ADHD Articles

At least that’s what was stated at search engine squaretable, where they claim that the search engine crawler must have ADHD, because it visited some sites up to 1,000 times in a single day.  While this was most likely some sort of glitch in Yahoo!’s algorithms, I find the statement itself to be a bit over the top.

We all know that ADHD in most cases causes a difficuly in paying attention.  The unfortunate side effect of this is that the public in general are using the term to describe absolutely everything memory related.  I feel that this lessens the reality of what ADHD really is, a sometimes debilitating condition, to the annals of public humor.  Perhaps the next comparison these people will make will be based on leprosy or brain cancer?

Yeah, I don’t think so either.

At the moment I just want to hurt someone, so I’ll go slip back under the rock that is my php programming manual.
