Dateline July 6

A rapper, a president and a blogger were born.

The rapper was 50 Cent, born in 1976. The President was George W. Bush, born in 1946, the blogger, none other than myself, born July 6th 1968 by the Gregorian Calandar. I’m sure a lot of other interesting people share this date as the day of their birth, but for me it just means a day off.

There will be meat.. lots of meat.  There will be cheesecake and there will be a bit too much in the way of merrymaking. Tomorrow marks the day at which I have seen 40 years of history, and I hope to witness 40 more before I’m good and done.  I’m somewhere near the half way point by national expectations, and I have around 12 years left if I follow my mother.  I’m going to make the best of all of what I have.

To you, dear readers, I wish you a glorius day.  Mr. President, a happy Birthday to you, and to 50 cent, keep doin’ what you’re doin’.  It seems to be working for you.
